I established Pine Design in 2020 after celebrating a *big* birthday during the pandemic and getting clarity on how I wanted to spend my time. My work focuses on creating beautiful, sustainable landscape designs for homeowners and others in the DC area. 

I use my more than 20 years of avid gardening and many, many years of experience in other fields to bring wildlife, beauty and outdoor living space to my clients. As a strategy consultant and health care technologist, my skills in project management, budgeting, long-term planning and client relationship building lend themselves very well to running a landscape design business! Not to mention education ranging from undergraduate to ongoing that continues to support and extend my work (Amherst College, Biology; Harvard, MPH; Emory University, Landscape Design certification; University of the District of Columbia, Master Gardener certification; and a Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional).
